Textbook Tactics began as a response to the many challenges facing students, parents and our education system. In US schools there is a consistent shortage of teachers and resources. Too often, classrooms are overcrowded, schools are short staffed and underfunded. Unfortunately, students are the ones who ultimately pay the price.
Founded in 2010 by Shawn Cox, a College Academic Mentor and High School Tutor of seven years, Tbt strives to create an online community for students, parents and tutors to connect.
Textbook Tactics is designed to give all families an affordable and valuable tutoring resource so that students complete their work on time, comprehend and retain the material they are learning in class and have access to qualified tutors for one-on-one assistance.
Our office is open on weekdays between 9am and 5pm Mountain Standard Time. Please feel free to email us with any questions, comments or feedback and we will respond without delay.
"My hope is that Tbt can prove to be an excellent and practical resource for children and families seeking better education. With the combined support of families, educational communities, and textbook publishers, Tbt envisions not only bringing US students a better chance at higher education, but education and knowledge to communities throughout the world."
– Shawn Cox, Founder of Textbook Tactics
